Sunday: Ate at Cafe Del Mar at Sentosa , near Siloso beach. After that went to Sentosa Cove, my future home. lol.
Anyway the dinner amounted to 150bucks and the service charge is freaking expensive la!Ate it with my dad and bro as usual, with mom absent cuz she's at work. Bro ate chicken whilst dad ate lamb steak, and i ate asian jumbo prawns. They cost 28 bucks, 38 bucks and 30 bucks respectively. Plus my dad and bro drank Carlsberg while i drank watermelon juice lol.
The place was kinda nice i suppose.Apart from the fact that there was this couple making out infront of me 10 to 15 feet away. It's got a pool infront and the drinkers/diners can jump into it whenever they want. Though the music got a tad irritating because it was too loud and I couldn't see what i was eating cuz there were these laser thingys shining everywhere. I guess I would have felt less annoyed if it wasn't so hot outside, and if i wasn't trying to eat a meal and was just drinking booze and chatting in my swimsuit just like everybody else. It's supposed to be a bar/restaurant place anyway, so yeah. But the view was kinda cool and all.
Okay so let me describe my dish. It's called ASIAN GRILLED JUMBO PRAWN. It's marinated with lemongrass, chilly, root ginger, and garlic, served with sweet potato and lime beurre blanc.Dad ate GRILLED SUCCULENT LAMB CHOPS and it's like herbs and olive oil marinated australian lamb racks grilled to his liking ( which is half bloody), served with vegetable compote with tamarind and tomato cilantro salsa. Brutha ate ROASTED SPRING CHICKEN WITH HERBS and it's like arborio risotto rice with mildly salted parma ham and grated parmesan seasonal vegetables, grilled tomato and morel-champignon sauce. ( Just imagine the food cuz I'm too lazy to get a picture for ya )
All because I told my dad I felt like eating at a restaurant today. And presto!
I seriously cannot imagine life without my dad or my mom because they love us so much and they are so nice I keep feeling I haven't given enough back. NEVER take your parents for granted.
