HI. This post is quite lengthy so read it if you want to.

19/12/08

I HAVE to blog about this today. I went to YWCA at Outram today for CIP. It was like kinda boring at first. And alot of people were freaked out over the acting part but in the end it was all no use so nvm. But I want to talk about the KIDS. They are like from 2 years old to 6/7 years old. AND THEY ARE SOOOOOOO BLOOOODY CUTEEEEEE!!!! AHHHHH!!! It's not just their face, it's their attitude and innocence which makes every conversation with them extremely wonderful.

So when we first came, kids were like going to the windows and saying "why u never go home?? I thought you went home???" and waving like mad at us. Anyway, first we had to do handcrafts with like 60kids or something. But we split into groups so I took over the boys table. Big mistake. Didn't want to but I was too slow so kenna the boys table. So I taught them how to make wands, like stars with sticks. They didn't know how to spell their name so they just drew stuff. But it didn't look like anything to me, it was just like one blob of gray mess. Should have taken a picture of it but the thing is, the guys they CANNOT KEEP STILL. I had glue on the table and they kept dipping their fingers inside and smearing it on me! And they kept telling me "POLICEMAN!!! POLICEMAN!!!" or "GUN!!!! BANG!!! BANG!!!" and "POLICE CARRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!" somemore. So i drew the policecar for them and a christmas tree. Plus, I took crayons and laid them on the table so they could colour but they just overturned the whole box of crayons and pencils and started making the table a big mess. IN ADDITION TO THAT, their stars kept flying off the table so I had to keep picking it up for them.

When the stars were done after much pain ( for me ), they rushed to the computer and started hitting the keyboard and flicking the computer switches. So I kinda made do with it and asked them what were the letters on the keyboard and the numbers. Like A, B, C, D. and 1,2,3,4 etc etc and since the keyboard was not in alphabetical order I made them find the letters in order. lol. ok. So it was quite a disaster because they were super young. like 3 or something. And one of the boys saw my book called "My book of questions and answers" and there were a lot of pictures in it so I was like teaching him about China inventing paper and the Eiffel tower and the world and the sea and stuff. He was actually pretty intelligent, he kept repeating the words I said, like "whale/boat/giraffe/dinosaur/bow and arrow" etc etc.

So after everything was done the kids were sent to the other room for the parents to pick them up. And I went into the other room and saw this cute blonde kid running around. He was DAMN CUTE!! lol. While the teacher was talking he was imitating her and he kept running around like a maniac. But still cute.

But I think the best kids were the 13 we had the Christmas Party with. They were praying before eating their snack!! SO CUTE RIGHT!! And I discovered, kids actually who initially dont wanna eat their food will eat it if you feed them. =.= The parents of these kids were going to have the Christmas buffet and do caroling with us. So these kids omg super cute! There was this guy called Justin and he was 2 years old! And his fingers soooo small when he raised up 2 fingers SOOOO CUTE SERIOUSLY omgoodness. All the volunteers were like clamouring to take photos of him or with him.
He was like so cute I thought I was gonna faint from cute overdose.
See the hand on the left? Also taking photo of him. lol.

And there was this kid called I forgot what name cuz my memory stinks like that. He was 4/5 years old and his sister was called Corinne. They were mixed kids, caucasian and chinese. The sister was SOOO protective of the brother I could tell they loved each other very very much even though they fought sometimes and I thought that the sister bullied the bro sometimes lol. But the brother really looked up to Corrinne and at one point he was crying cuz he lost in musical chairs and he kept clinging on to his sister who was trying to comfort him. So sweet la. And they shared sweets and stuff. Another girl suddenly said "jiejie" then I thought something was wrong but she ended up telling me this girl Ashley was her cousin lol. And corrine was telling me" This is her cousin, her cousin belongs to her."* pointing to two cousins." This is my brother, he belongs to me"*pointing to her brother* and they hugged each other and I was like AWWWW like my heart was literally MELTING okay. Omg. hahahha. And theres this other guy I forgot his name, he had a sister too. He was a thumbsucker so he kept smearing his saliva on me while his sister was uber cute and kept holding my hand. Opposites sia. This is saliva boy. =.=

And I loved this kid the best I think. They are all extremely wonderful but I think he was the best cuz he was SOOO CUTE!!! His attitude and everything. I was taking pictures with my phone and I took a really nice pic of him so he asked me to send it to him and I asked if he had a phone so I could bluetooth it but obviously he didn't cuz he's 7. Haha. And he kept talking to me and telling me stuff. SO CUTE LAAAA...His name was Caleb . And I just remembered!! Before I even like met Caleb, he came into the room and gave me a sweet. And I was like "you don't want ah?" and he was like "I have already, I give you" OMGGGGGG SOOOO SWEEETTTTTTTT AHHHH!! ok lol

And theres this girl I forgot her name but she was wonderful too. She kept sitting beside me and she said she "I love you" at one point omg I am so toooouuucheeeddd...

HHAHa I love them laaaaaaaaaaaaaa. I wanna see them again! :(
Food and log cake which i didn't eat. I didn't take a pic of the buffet part though. Their parents were also pretty good sports. We kinda did abit of lame stuff in caroling like running around in circles and saying "HEY!!!" really loudly and while singing "we wish you a merry christmas", we went around slapping hi-fives to each other, to the teachers, the principals, fellow volunteers, corinnes dad, justin, and the kids i mentioned. :D

yay okay.Congratulations for reading the whole thing, if you did. :D

P.S: thanks yuwei for the present :D
P.P.S: Daddy bought me new earphones!! WOOHOOO!! It's not swarovski donned but still, it's bought with luuuurrrvvveee. Thank you dad!
