Stupid Dr B only gave me excuse from PE til the end of this month which is today cuz he forgot and my next appointment is next week so my teacher says I have to join the PE class this Friday. And she was asking if I could do 2.4.
AREEEE YOOOU CRAZYYY???!!!!
I'm sorry for being rude but I'm not supposed to move my upper limb you prick!
In truth, I would usually not mind running as you may know. I hate it but I mean if I have to do it yeah sure BUT! We have to consider the fact that I'm wearing the thumb spica here, and if I sweat, the inside of the thumb spica will get really wet and gross and sweaty!!!! And you expect me to run with that gross feeling??? Crudely speaking, it's like you sitting in your own puke, or you sitting in your own pool of sweat. My poor thumb already feels so trapped. Why make it worse? Anyway, running requires fast and large swing motions of the arm. Won't this make it worse??
She said I have to do PE because if I don't it will be harder for me when I join the class after the fracture has healed. But what people usually don't get is, it doesn't mean when the fracture is healed that means you can do anything to your finger!! The fracture takes 4-6 weeks to heal and I quote,
"The strength in the hand takes approximately 3-4 months to return to near normal levels. The fingers and thumb will often be quite stiff to begin with, after a fracture, but with exercise and use this problem gradually settles.
Many patients notice symptoms of aching associated with cold damp conditions, with heavy use and if the injured area is accidentally knocked or jarred. These symptoms usually improve with time and do not interfere with normal use of the hand. Some fractures may result, in the long term, in arthritis; this particularly applies to fractures involving the joint surface. Your surgeon or therapist will be able to advise on whether you have such a risk."
Which means I STILL HAVE TO DO PHYSIO AND HAND THERAPY AND SHIT FOR 3 to 4 MORE MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!! I obviously can't take NAPHA now right, since pullups need the grip and whatever. And if you can't do one station or more you fail everything, so whats the point right??? Can't do one, don't do all la!
Okay that may be a bit extreme lol but what's the point of training me for NAPHA actually? I do PE just to keep fit, so I don't give a crap about NAPHA. I think NAPHA is super torturous. It's just to stress students more, cuz those that fail the first time have to do it the second time while others play games. Just play games all the way laaa! It's exercising also if your main aim is to keep fit. Why the need for all these tests? I mean for guys , they have NS so they need it or else they'll suffer later. But girls should just be excused right from the start!!
The reason why people hate PE so much is because of NAPHA!! If we were to play games and run a few times people would like PE so much more. All those poor people that couldn't pass NAPHA the first time round, they get so stressed up just because they can't pass the mark for standing broad jump or can't run 2.4km under the time limit. I was 6seconds late for A for 2.4, 1cm away from A for sit and reach, had A for situps etc etc but whats the point right??? Why must we be so focused about passing or getting As?? What's the use?? What's the point?? This only makes people hate PE even more and they won't even try to excercise when they get out of the system because they hated it so much when they were in school. Shouldn't PE be enjoyable?? I mean the goal is to keep you fit and stuff, but this is just too much!!
LOL I feel so anti-PE right now.
If I do PE, it will just make the stupid bone heal slower right? What if I injure myself again. Are you going to be held responsible for the subsequent discomfort and inconvenience it causes? And then I have to spend more money on hospital bills which even the school insurance does not adequately cover, and my doctor gets even more agitated with me cuz I'm not listening to him, and I have to skip more days of school to go for more appointments.
What's the point? Tell me what's the point??
