I am back.
Alas, I could not bring myself to stay away for too long. Anyway, I guess there's no point in it because negativity doesn't get me anywhere.
Why must one go out of one's comfort zone to be successful though? Isit more of stretching one's limits, or trying to break oneself? I guess thats how the term "make or break" was coined.
It's so annoying that we always must impress. One must do things one is not comfortable with or does not like, in order to IMPRESS, in order to submit and yield to the judgment of someone more powerful than oneself.
Went to the NUS open house today. Milled around.
Went to the FASS talk, which was boring I must say. I was waiting for her to elaborate on each major but there she was talking about not so relevant stuff. People were dozing off all around me. The guys behind me at one point were like " Are you listening to her?" and his friend was like "No, I tuned out very early on already".
And then I recieved a multitude of text messages from people who were also in the talk complaining about how boring it was.
Maybe it was the weather.
Then I went to the exhibition on the third floor? Talked to a few professors. I figured they were all quite introverted because while talking to me, some of them were kind of fidgeting and I could see their hands shaking. Haha. I guess even with a brain as powerful as that, they do get intimidated sometimes. But I really liked the professors though, they seemed very nice :)
Talked to a mad hatter like political science prof as well. He was jabbering on and on about how humans talk unsystematically and how it was better if we looked through stuff through the NUS website. Mamasan and linlin were giggling like the march hare and the mouse at the tea party.
OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!
:D
Went to the USP talk for fun. Accompanied my friends who have the ability to get in and are interested in their programmes. Was much more interesting. Why is something I can't get into much more interesting? Saw a prof who came to my college before, but apparently noone remembered.
I guess I do have a knack for remembering faces, and other irrelevant stuff.
Then when I was reading my brochure, a gigantic angmoh came to sit beside me. He wasn't fat, he was fit but he just towered over everyone , and his legs kept on hitting the chair infront of him because it was too long. And the silly angmoh kept looking at the camera man and not focusing on the screen which was to his left. It was so distracting.
Adam Lambert is in Singapore bytheway!! And I HAVE HIS DELUXE EDITION CD AND AUTOGRAPH!!! OH EM GEEE!!!!
But there's more important stuff to think about now. Mom and dad are going to Malaysia because po po's really sick. I need to study for my SATs. I need a 2010 organiser, anyone care to buy for me??
And I want to get a better job with a better boss with more pay, since I'm working for free now :(
Plus many other things I will not tell you.
Goodbye.
